Status limitations

There needs to be more flexibility with Status customization. We should be able to remove default statuses that we don’t use. We should be able to add more than 12 statuses. Did not know there was limitation on the number of Statuses till we decided to update our internal workflow.

We are consulting with our team on this, and will reach out as soon as there is an update. In the meantime, I do see that there is a feature request to expand the custom status limit beyond 12.

Currently the limitation is noted in the FAQs about Backlog migration errors article, but we will look into providing more information on this going forward.

Please let us know if this feature will be implemented. We also have built-in statuses that we do not use, but Backlog will not allow us to remove. Having more flexibility with the statuses would really help.

Thank you for your feedback. We have shared this request with our development team for consideration. In the meantime, we’ve updated our Backlog 101: Project Settings article with the status limitations listed. Please note that our Enterprise plan allows up to 20 statuses.

Thanks so much for this info. We’re on the Premium plan. I don’t see it mentioned on the pricing page that the number of statuses are a limited feature: Backlog PM Software Pricing | Compare Plans | Nulab

Is there any way for us to increase the number of statuses within the Premium plan? We do not need the additional Enterprise features.
