In Backlog, we can save filters for issues so that it’s easy to retrieve them any time.
The saved filters are personal and not shared with team members, so that everyone can create their own filter shortcuts.
Share issue filters using URL address
However, it’s still possible to share issue filters with other members. Just share the current URL address of the filtered issues.
This will allow your members to have the same view of filtered issues.
The different views include:
- Project Board
- Project Issues list (including Advanced Search)
- Project Gantt chart
- Find issues in all Projects
How to share filtered issues view
It works the same way for all the views:
- Filter the issues to your preference.
- Copy the current URL address from the web browser.
- Share the URL address with your members via email or team chat. They will be able to access the same filtered view by using the URL address.
Alternatively, you can also paste the URL into a Backlog project, in wiki, issues, comments, pull requests, etc., for members to refer to it any time.
Note: Only members participating in the project will be able to access the Backlog URL. Non-project members are prevented from viewing the issues.
Share project board
Filter issues on the board, then copy and share the URL to members for them to have the same view.
Share project issues list
Filter the issues, then copy and share the URL with members.
Share project issues list (Advanced Search)
Sharing the URL also works for advanced search.
Share project Gantt Chart
You can also share the Gantt chart view with others by setting the filter conditions and then sharing the URL.
Share filtered issues from all or multiple projects
It works the same way when you’re viewing issues in all projects. Just filter, and then copy the URL address for sharing.
