πŸ“£ New: Screen Sharing for video chat

You can now use Screen-Sharing to present your Cacoo diagrams during your video chat, or present content from other screens, e.g. slides, documents, etc.

This helps members to be on the same page as you, as their viewing display will be focused on your shared screen.

How to start Screen Sharing

  1. You can only perform screen-sharing during a video chat.
Start a video chat by selecting the Video Icon > Join Video Chat from the diagram editor.

  1. Select to share a screen, window, or tab, and click Share.
A display of the shared screen will appear in the diagram editor.

Note: The screen share feature may not work properly when used with a combination of some browsers.

To stop sharing, click the Stop sharing button at the bottom.

:bulb:Here’s a tip:
If you are sharing a screen or window that shows the diagram editor, a mirroring effect will occur. To avoid mirroring, you can minimize the shared screen to the video panel and continue your presentation.

mirror effect
Mirroring occurs when the screen you’re sharing has the shared display, i.e. sharing a display of what’s being shared.

Minimize shared screen

Click on the Minimize button, and the shared screen will be minimized to the video chat panel, and you can continue your presentation.

Meanwhile, your members will still have a full view of the shared screen.
