Nulab joins the FIDO Alliance

Nulab has joined the FIDO Alliance!

What is the FIDO Alliance?

FIDO stands for Fast IDentity Online (FIDO) Alliance. It is a non-profit organization established in 2012 with a mission of reducing the world’s over-reliance on passwords.

It develops and standardizes the use of authentication protocols that do not require passwords, such as biometric and device authentication methods. As listed on fidoalliance.org:

The FIDO Alliance is working to change the nature of authentication with open standards that are more secure than passwords and SMS OTPs, simpler for consumers to use, and easier for service providers to deploy and manage.

Why did we join the FIDO Alliance?

The purpose is to further deepen our knowledge of passwordless authentication and standards, and to provide feedback to the alliance as we continue development work on our products.

How does this benefit our users?

In case you’re not aware, you can use passwordless methods like biometric authentication (i.e. your fingerprints or face) and devices like YubiKey to log in to your Nulab account and products (Backlog, Cacoo, and Typetalk).

FIDO specifications are recognized and followed by major tech companies and governments. By adhering to industry standards, we can give all Nulab users higher security and more convenience.
